AdBlue ®
AdBlue ® brand BLUETEG ® is a diesel exhaust and emissions treatment fluid. It is a liquid used in diesel engine vehicles equipped with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology to reduce the release of harmful gases generated during combustion before they are emitted into the atmosphere. Exhaust from most diesel engines contains nitrogen oxides (NOx), which are pollutant gases that negatively affect human health and the environment.

AdBlue ® in SCR Systems
The SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system is commonly found in diesel engines that meet Euro 5 standards and above, such as passenger cars, trucks, transport vehicles, buses, and cranes, etc. It is also used in large diesel engines such as marine vessels, heavy machinery, and diesel engine generators in power plants.
These engines and systems require an exhaust treatment fluid to enable the chemical reaction. When diesel fuel is burned, the exhaust gases produced contain carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO₂), hydrocarbons (HC), and nitrogen oxides (NOx).
The SCR system injects the diesel exhaust treatment fluid, or AdBlue ® , into the exhaust stream, where it reacts and converts nitrogen oxides (NOx) into nitrogen (N₂) and water (H₂O).
Usage and Storage
When using AdBlue ®, you should follow the recommended usage and storage instructions to ensure maximum efficiency. It should be stored in a dry, cool, or shaded area and kept out of direct sunlight.
Use the product with care, as the fluid may cause skin irritation and must not be ingested. The product also has a limited shelf life, so it should not be used after its expiration date.
